Games start at 5:15 PM on Friday and wrap up at 11:30 AM on Sunday!
The banquet will be on Saturday night at Coho’s Bar & Grill (51 Egan Dr), doors open at 6:40pm, dinner will be served at 7:00pm.
As always, friends and family are welcome, but we ask non-players to pay $15 to cover the cost of food.
Don’t forget to bring a door prize (unwrapped!) to contribute to the fun and mayhem. Gifts should be about $20 in value.
Feel free to regift, but only unused prizes, please.
Jamboree hats, shirts, fleeces, vests and towels will be available at the rink and at the banquet. (credit cards accepted!) All the money from merchandise sales go towards keeping the tournament costs down, so we really appreciate your support.
If any of you is still searching for housing, please let us know; we have plenty of local players will to provide free housing. We’ve also got a BOGO coupon for the Driftwood if that is where you plan to stay. Send us an email and we’ll hook you up.
While we may think of this as “Jamboree Weekend,” apparently there are a few other things happening around Juneau. Here’s a few to consider:
Louie’s Douglas Inn changed hands and has reopened after a major renovation. We all still love the Island Pub, but you might consider stopping by Louie’s to say hi to Sherill after one of your games. They do have limited food service as well.
On Friday night, Nov. 7, Suite 907 (the old Marlintini’s in the Valley near the airport) has a Journey cover band, Journey Unauthorized. www.suite907.com
Nov. 7 also happens to be First Friday. Check out the schedule of events at: http://firstfriday.ktoo.org/
(although it looks like it has not yet been updated from October)
